Painting of Natural Contact Lenses

Lenses are painted under Natural light, and change with other lighting because of the light color that is being used. (Yellow white  florescent light bulbs). To create a color we usually counter act colors to create a natural effect, many color can be used. The lenses look more shiny and natural looking. A lens can not be painted in one day or two because in order to get the colors to blend nicely. Our Process to make the paint stay includes liquid solutions and most of the color added is washed off. This helps us to create layers of colors and detail lines that make the lens look more natural and not flat.

We use special dyes and we use a brush to paint the lenses. When we paint the lenses it is best not to hurry the process because detail, attention and quality can change the appearance of the lens. It looks flat and light because there was not enough time to pain. The lens look fake if they are too light for your complexion.

Complexion and the Right Color

The lenses we create are not like other lenses out their. Some lenses blend or do not show in the dark iris color. We make the lenses completely white to make sure it covers the darkest of colors (some darker colors might need an extra layer) to make sure that the design we are making will show on your eye. Colors might be too bright for your complexion but we can Tone the color down (see section bellow). Lenses are daily wear and a little thicker than regular, they are yearly lenses and are made that way.

When choosing the color for you, keep in mind that the lighter the color the more of a chance of looking to bright on you. Going from dark brown eyes to a light blue is a big change. People around you are not use to the dramatic change and the first thing they will notice is your eye. Medium to dark complexion should use medium to dark colors and with the most detail as possible. Some like the lighter look and the change, it's more of a personal preference. Make sure you pick the color you like and love, different opinion's tend to change people's mind and not pick what they really like therefore not liking the outcome. Also changing the pupil size can change how the design looks, making it smaller will cause more color area which can be more color then needed making the lenses stand out. Making the pupil big decreases the iris diameter, which leave little room for the color. Always pick a average pupil size for best outcome.

Build up Time Period

Some Clients might need a build up time period because they are not use to using yearly lenses, which are a little thicker to withstand wear and tear. The way you build up time is by using the lenses for 30min to 1 hour depending on how long you can wear them at first. After wearing them for at least 30min take the lenses off and rest your eyes. When you feel ready  put them on again try to wear them for more than 1 hour. Wear should get more comfortable after a few times. If it doesn't get better contact us at 1-800-807-8722.

Toning Down Color

When we tone down a color we do not add any other color, the same colors used to create the original design are added to minimize the brightness of the lens. We ask for a picture of you wearing the lenses and instructions on how much would you like the lens to be darken. On a scale of 1-10 tell us how much you would like us to darken. Don't go too dark because then we can't lighten the lens, baby steps are recommended.

3 Easy steps to have your lenses tone down to make them look more natural.

1. Take a picture with you wearing the lenses, the better the picture the better the result. You be surprise how many customer's wont sent picture or instructions.

2. Write instructions on how you think it will look better. This will help the artist create what you like without changing the color of course.

3. Send them back, takes 10 business days before they ship back to you.
